Parcels

Once a parcel data has been added to the system, either via manifest file or API, a parcel record is created. A record of a parcel will contain all the information from the consignee address to the contents inside the parcel (parcel and item level data).
All of the created parcel records are visible in the parcels tab:

Here's how this tab looks like, all the parcels (even the ones with errors) are shown, regardless of whether the parcel is connected to a shipment or not:

Once a parcel record is created, all the info about the parcel is saved to the system. This is why minimal manifest works: the parcel data has been added, the only thing left to do, would be to add the parcel record under the shipment. The minimal manifest only contains four columns: Way bill (shipment number), package ID (bag number), parcel number and sender parcel number (Client ID). The parcel receiver information is already in the parcel record, the minimal manifest will only create a connection between the parcel record and the shipment. (Please see more under "Shipments" article.)
In the example above, we can see three erroneous parcels. Clicking on the red icon will display the reason for this error. There is no parcel number in this case: the parcel number is generated only after all data issues are solved, because otherwise wrong data would also appear on the parcel label.
There are several options to filter the data in this view:

These parcels in this view are from different shipments or no shipments at all (if the shipment number is missing), thus it allows to find a parcel based on different criteria and if necessary, even trace it back to the specific shipment. Please note that there are also list filters with only possible values for type, status, errors etc.
Opening any of the parcels from the pencil icon in the first column, will open up a drawer window with all of the parcel information:

Please note that the parcel is editable only until the shipment is submitted.
The first section is parcel general information, most of which is visible in the parcel table. Under that is the shipment information, which bag this parcel is connected to, parcel weight and value. On the right side is the receiver information (address and contact information).
The "State" above the items grid only shows one value: Cancelled. There is a slider button which can be used to cancel this parcel (even if the parcel has no errors). This is necessary when you want to switch the product type for example, and you cancel sending this via postal channels and intend to upload the same sender parcel number to a non postal (commercial) channel. Since this sender parcel number currently has a generated parcel number, there's no possibility to generate a new non-postal parcel number for this before cancelling this specific record.
The bottom part of the drawer window displays all the items inside this parcel, the quantity and weight and value of the singular item. The parcel weight and values are calculated based on this information. The system performs a check on parcel creation, if the parcel weight is larger or equal to those of the items added up. Read more about how to calculate the weights and values per parcel in the Manifest files article.
There are four tabs in this drawer window, We covered the first one. The second one is called "Events", which displays system information. if a parcel was connected to one shipment but manifest was deleted and this parcel was added to another shipment, this information would be displayed there. There is not much useful for the customer here and often this tab is empty.
The third tab is called "Prints". There is a download button to get this specific parcel print (for only that one parcel). This is not used often, since it's easier to download prints in batches, but the availability is there.
The fourth tab is "tracking". Parcel specific tracking events are displayed in this tab. If you have issues with only one parcel, it's sometimes quicker to open this tab and have a quick look on what was the last tracking event or if there have been any issues (like unsuccessful delivery attempt). There are other ways to get tracking information, which will be covered in the "Tracking" article.
